Meet our team: Joan Martín – Co-founder and Head Data Engineer at Damavis

“What I like the most about my job is data analysis to be able to extract as much knowledge as possible through the information that companies keep”.

Today in our Blog we interview Joan Martín, data engineer and co-founder of Damavis.

Joan studied a degree in Computer Engineering at the University of the Balearic Islands and later completed a master’s degree in Big Data at the same academic institution.

Together with the rest of the partners, he immersed himself in the Damavis project and is currently Head Data Engineer.

What do you like the most about working at Damavis?

The variety of projects and activities that the company offers, both on a professional and personal level among all Damavis employees.

What kind of projects do you like the most?

Data engineering and, above all, data analysis because we can extract extraordinary knowledge about a company from its datasets.

What have you learned from other team mates at Damavis?

A wide range of technologies in the big data world, as well as different ways of working, approaching projects and solving problems. At the end of the day, we are a very disparate group of people who work together.

With which of the values defined by Damavis do you feel more identified?

Quality, professionalism, teamwork.

What would you highlight about the way your team mates work?

The understanding towards the project and the colleagues, and the efficiency at the time of solving and the desire to do it with the highest possible quality.
